ISO 9001 & ISO 27001 Certification for Bizzmine

News Blog ISO certificates

The last year and a half has been a gigantic rollercoaster for Bizzmine. We grew from 20 to almost 100 employees. This goes along with a lot of changes that need to be implemented simultaneously and with great efficiency. Reason enough to reflect on our existing certifications and to look forward.

The challenge of a scale-up when facing ISO certification

One of these challenges was to extend our existing ISO9001 quality management system that was implemented for one entity and around 20 employees, to an integrated ISO9001 and ISO27001 management system for all our entities in the different countries where we operate.

When you spread the management system to different countries with distinct cultures and processes, you are changing the way people operate. To make the modifications efficient and easily adapted by employees, you must consider a variety of elements. A solid change management strategy that identifies and mitigates risks, as well as clear communication lines, is critical to success.

Not an easy task, but with the collaboration, experience and determination of all our employees we can now say that since April 2024 we have obtained an ISO9001 for Quality Management System and an ISO27001 for Information Security Management system for all the entities that are part of the Bizzmine family.

The benefit of our software

Of course, we used our own Bizzmine software for QHSE Management to ensure that our management system is implemented in the most efficient way possible. In Bizzmine, we created multiple solutions to ensure every aspect of the Deming Cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) is maintained properly. Some of the solutions we’ve built are:

  • Document control with approval and distribution: Ensures that all documents are properly managed, approved, and distributed to relevant parties, enhancing compliance and efficiency.
  • Skills and training management: Tracks employee skills and training needs, ensuring our team is always equipped with the necessary knowledge and competencies.
  • Asset management: Keeps track of all physical and digital assets, ensuring they are used efficiently and maintained properly.
  • Risk Management: Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks to minimize their impact on our operations.
  • Compliance Management: Ensures we adhere to all relevant regulations and standards, avoiding legal issues and maintaining our reputation.
  • Audits with observation / Non-conformances: Conducts regular audits to identify non-conformances and areas for improvement, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Complaint management: Handles customer complaints effectively, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • ROPA (Records of Processing Activities): Maintains records of data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Incident Management: Manages and resolves incidents efficiently to minimize their impact on operations.
  • Supplier Management: Ensures suppliers meet our quality and compliance standards, maintaining the integrity of our supply chain.
  • CAPA Management: Implements Corrective and Preventive Actions to address issues and prevent their recurrence.
  • … and many more

The flexibility and extensive list of features in Bizzmine gave us the opportunity to build the best structure available for our needs. Now, we need to spend less time in the follow-up of existing measurements and we can use that extra time to optimise our processes and so we can make a difference for you, the customer.

What is ISO9001?

ISO 9001 is the international standard for creating Quality Management Systems (QMS). This standard provides the QMS requirements to be implemented for a company that wants to create all of the policies, processes, and procedures necessary to provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory needs and improve customer satisfaction. Quality management systems are the foundation of quality assurance activities.

What is ISO27001?

ISO 27001 is the international standard focused on information security (ISMS). This standard is part of a set of standards developed to handle information security: the ISO/IEC 27000 series. ISO 27001 is the most important part of that set because it describes how to manage all aspects of security. Part of this management system there is a whole set of possible controls that you can implement in your organisation depending on your risk assessment.

Looking ahead

Achieving ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications across all our entities is a significant milestone for Bizzmine. It underscores our commitment to quality and information security, ensuring we provide the best possible products and services to our customers. This journey not only strengthens our internal operations but also builds greater trust and reliability with you, our valued customer. We look forward to continuing to exceed your expectations with the highest standards of quality and security.
